Internship and Independent Research In Rosario

This Internship and Independent Research program is available to qualified students who are committed to gaining a unique perspective into Argentine life. During summer term, this option is offered as a four-week program. During fall term, it is offered as a course option for the Spanish Language and Society program. You can elect to do an internship complemented by relevant independent research, or only independent research.

Internship placements are offered in various industries and depend on availability.  Independent Research Projects integrate theory and practice through planned, supervised field research experience.  A key component of a student’s academic development is the ability to apply what is learned in the classroom to research conducted in the world around them.  This course offers students individualized, applied learning opportunities to explore and clarify career goals, apply theory, acquire new skills, gain experience, further investigate topics of interest, and improve Spanish language proficiency.

Acceptance into this program is based on availability of internship placements or faculty approval of the student’s proposed research plan. During summer term, preference is given to students enrolled in the six-week Spanish Language and Society in Rosario program, which ends right before the beginning of this program.

GEO program fees cover tuition, housing and some meals, and on-site orientation. Insurance and a 24-hour emergency service are also included. For information on scholarship funding, please visit the Scholarships & Aid page on our website.
