Spring 2021

About the Program
There are few places as picturesque in the United States, or even the world, as southern Utah. With its incredible National Parks, national monuments and scenic drives, it is well worth any time spent traveling there. This program will give students a greater appreciation for the beauty they can find in the U.S. and teach them the history of the explorers and photographers that traveled through these spaces before them. They will also learn best practices in documenting such landscapes, local people, and area wildlife.

Program participants will have the opportunity to...
  • Explore five National Parks, two national monuments, scenic drives, two national forests, and several state parks in southern Utah.
  • See 2000 year-old Native American drawings and engravings at Newspaper Rock.
  • Hike the trails at Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and Arches National Parks.
