About the Program
Viña is a coastal town nestled perfectly between the hills of Valparaiso, a World Heritage City, and the sand dunes of Concon, the gastronomical capital of Chile. Viña del Mar is also located only one and a half hours from Chile’s capital, Santiago. The Universidad Viña del Mar is an accredited, private university with over 30 years of experience providing quality education to its Chilean and international students alike. UVM strives to give international students the necessary skills to become integrated into UVM’s academic community, and Chilean culture through experiential learning. Additionally, they aim to give students the necessary tools to learn and express themselves in Spanish, but also provide them with opportunities to put their abilities into practice in the real world.

Housing
Participants will live with a host family for the duration of their stay.

*Study Abroad Billing: the host institution invoices SVSU for the program fees. SVSU bills students and then pays the host institution. This makes it easier for students to use financial aid towards their program. Rates are based on academic 2020-2021 and are subject to change.
