Learn Italian in Italy with EF Education First

Learn Italian in Italy with EF

Italian is the language of Da Vinci, Dante, and many operas.  Learning "la bella lingua" will help you get in touch with world-renowned history, fashion, music and -- perhaps most importantly to the average college student -- food!  There's really nowhere better to study Italian than in Italy, and with EF you can design an Italian language immersion program to fit around your academic schedule.  EF is pleased to offer flexible Italian immersion courses in Rome, one of the most historical and architecturally-interesting cities in Europe.

Whether you're looking to brush up on Italian over the summer or would like to spend a semester or year earning Italian credits, Italian immersion with EF might be a good option for you.  EF welcomes university-age students from a number of countries around the world, so studying Italian in Rome with EF will allow you not only to greatly improve your Italian abilities and immerse yourself in Italian culture, but also to develop bonds with fellow students from diverse backgrounds and locations around the globe.

College Credit and Exam Preparation

EF knows college students are busy.  That's why we've designed our Italian courses to help you get fluent as quickly as possible.  When you learn Italian in a normal college or university, you speak Italian only during classtime, perhaps with a conversation lab mixed in here and there.  With EF, though, you'll be speaking Italian 100% of the time, whether you're in class, the iLab, or buying your groceries.  Your new friends at EF won't (in most cases) speak English as their first languages, so you'll need Italian to communicate.  Our courses are literally guaranteed to help you climb up the Common European Framework of Reference quickly.

To make it easier for college students to accelerate their learning, we've partnered with Eastern Washington University so that you can earn college credit for Italian language and history courses.  If you're planning on taking the IT, CELI , or CILS, you can enroll in EF's proven exam preparation courses.  There's also the option to add an internship or volunteer abroad project that will help you start planning out an international career.  EF students also take elective courses relevant to their interests, so you'll learn to incorporate Italian language and culture into your studies and daily life.

Stress-Free Study Abroad

If the thought of planning a semester abroad stresses you out, you're in luck.  EF makes it easy to study Italian in Italy because our talented admissions team is happy to help you arrange every detail of your journey, from flights to travel insurance to airport transfers. You can choose to live either in a residence or homeshare with other EF students, or in one of our carefully-selected host families.  The host family option comes with its own meal-plan, as you'll be provided with home-cooked Italian meals for breakfast and dinner (and really, does it get better than that?)

Learn Italian in Italy with EF while you study abroad in Rome.  Established in 1965, EF is the world leader in international education and has been offering Italian classes in Italy since 1974.  EF offers a variety of study abroad programs in countries around the world.
