About the Program
The Study Abroad Programs at Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) are designed to provide a complete immersion experience in Mexican culture for all international students. UDLAP is committed to providing the best personal experience to students and educators through our quality programs with a practical combination of academic and cultural contexts. Located in Cholula, Puebla, UDLAP is one of the most beautiful universities in Mexico. UDLAP is integrated by a multi-cultural community offering many on-campus activities to international students. All our programs are specially designed for students who want to experience and discover Mexico and at the same time earn academic credits.

Academics
Fall/Winter/Year-Long Students can register in either English-taught courses or in Spanish-taught courses (depending on language level).

Spring/Summer Students will enroll in 2 of the following courses:
  • EPE0111-Español I: Lengua y Comunicación
  • EPE0121-Español I: Conversación y composición
  • EPE0211-Español II: Lengua y Comunicación
  • EPE0231-Español II: Cultura Mexicana
  • EPE0311-Español III: Lengua y Comunicación
  • EPE0321-Español III: Manifestaciones Culturales del Mundo Hispano

Housing
Participants can choose between staying in UDLAP's student dormitories where they may interact with Mexican students or with a Mexican family in a homestay (only available during Spring/Summer).

*Study Abroad Billing: the host institution invoices SVSU for the program fees. SVSU bills students and then pays the host institution. This makes it easier for students to use financial aid towards their program. Rates are based on academic 2020-2021 and are subject to change.
